A living practice rooted in direct experience.

What we offer is not primarily a set of ideas — it is a set of practices. What we believe matters far less than what we do, and what we do is oriented entirely toward one thing: the direct experience of oneness with Your Source.

There is no single path here. There are many doors, and all of them open onto the same threshold.

How we gather.

Ekstæses has no fixed location. We gather in nature, online, and in the private homes of our congregants — wherever the conditions are right for direct encounter with The Divine.

Our monthly gatherings bring the community together for shared practice, reflection, and fellowship. Our pilgrimages are conducted in smaller, more intimate settings, with careful preparation and dedicated support throughout.

We are a community of sincere seekers. Everyone who participates does so voluntarily, with full awareness of the nature of our practice.

The elements of our practice.

  • Daily Workbook —

    The Ekstæses Syllabus contains 365 lessons — one for each day of the year. Each lesson is short, and asks only that you bring your willingness to it. There is no right way to do it, and no wrong time to begin. Many members have completed the workbook more than once. Each time, it is different.

    The daily workbook is available freely through our app, which tracks your progress and marks your place. It requires nothing more than a few minutes and an open mind.

  • Gatherings —

    Once a month, our congregation comes together in person for community gatherings of shared practice, reflection, and fellowship. Open to all members in good standing.. They are not performances or lectures — they are practice, done together.

    Gatherings are held in California and Oregon. Location and details are shared with community members directly. If you are new and would like to attend, reach out through our contact page.

  • Pilgrimages —

    Sacred sacramental ceremonies conducted in nature. in community or privately. Available to members who have completed the foundational requirements of our practice.

    Pilgrimages are the deepest form of practice we offer. They are sacred journeys — in carefully prepared ceremonial space. They are not for everyone, and they are not entered into lightly.

    If you feel called to a pilgrimage, the first step is completing our intake process. From there, the path reveals itself.

  • Complementary practices —

    Meditation, Breathwork, Yoga, and EFT are offered in support of the primary work of direct encounter with The Source of All Things.

    Beyond the workbook and community gatherings, members are encouraged to cultivate whatever individual practices support their direct experience — meditation, time in nature, contemplative prayer, journaling, or simply stillness. Ekstaeses does not prescribe a single form. It asks only that the practice be sincere.

The Ekstæses practice is not a single activity. It is a way of orienting toward Your Source across every dimension of daily life.

Marking the passages of life

Ekstæses recognizes that life contains moments that call for more than ordinary acknowledgment — moments of arrival, of union, and of departure. We offer sacred rites for each of these, performed within the context of our theology and in the presence of community.

Sacred Rites.
