Pilgrimages.
The deepest form of practice we offer
A pilgrimage is not an event. It is a passage — a carefully prepared, ceremonially held journey into direct experience of Your Source. It is the most immersive practice Ekstaeses offers, and it is not entered into lightly.
Pilgrimages are held in nature, in community space, or in the home of a participant or guide. They are conducted within sacred ceremonial structure, and include the use of psilocybin and MDMA as sacraments — understood within our theology as vehicles for the direct experience of oneness with Your Source. Each pilgrimage lasts a minimum of nine hours.
A pilgrimage at Ekstæses Sanctuary is a sacred ceremony — a deliberate, supported encounter with The Source of All Things through sacramental practice. Each pilgrimage is approached with reverence, and devoted care.
Who pilgrimages are for.
Pilgrimages are available to members of the Ekstæses community who have completed our intake process and demonstrated a sincere and sustained engagement with the workbook. We ask that participants have completed a minimum of fourteen consecutive days of daily lessons before inquiring about pilgrimage participation.
This threshold is not a formality. The workbook prepares the mind and heart for what a pilgrimage asks of them. Those who arrive without that preparation are not yet ready — and we say this with love, not judgment.
All participants are asked to complete a comprehensive intake form covering medical history, spiritual background, and lifestyle. This ensures that every pilgrimage is as safe and as meaningful as it can be.
CeremoniesEkstæses offers four levels of pilgrimage participation, each designed to meet the congregant where they are in their practice and their readiness for direct encounter with Their Source.
Suggested offerings for each level are shared during the intake process. No one is turned away for inability to contribute.
Four ways to make the journey.
Communal
IncludedA group pilgrimage, held together in shared sacred space. Participants journey alongside one another, each on their own interior path, supported by the collective field of the group. Ordained officiants are present as guides throughout. This is the experience of oneness made most literal — many people, one threshold.
The Communal pilgrimage is our foundational ceremony — It is the entry point for most members and the form of pilgrimage most closely tied to community life.
Integrative
IncludedThe Integrative pilgrimage is designed for congregants who are ready to go deeper. Conducted privately with a personal, dedicated integration guide as well as at least one helper present throughout, the Integrative pilgrimage places great emphasis on preparation, intention-setting, and aftercare — supporting the congregant in bringing the fruits of their experience more fully into their daily life.
This level includes dynamic discourse and intentional goal-setting prior to the journey, oriented around the participant's own spiritual and personal intentions. Sessions are recorded, and participants receive a full transcript with reflective notes generated through the lens of the Ekstæses Syllabus. This is the most thorough and integrated experience we offer.
Accompanied
IncludedThe Accompanied pilgrimage is a private ceremony conducted with at least one ordained officiant present. It is offered to congregants who have demonstrated sustained commitment to the practice and whose readiness has been confirmed through our intake process. The Accompanied pilgrimage allows for a deeply personal and individually tailored sacred encounter with less guidance than the fully Integrative Pilgrimage.
The guide is available for light discourse, questions, and gentle interaction throughout the journey — a presence without pressure, a witness without intrusion. For those who want to go deeply inward while knowing they are not alone.
Solitary
IncludedThe Solitary pilgrimage is available to experienced congregants who have completed multiple pilgrimages at prior levels and have been approved for independent practice. Undertaken alone, with an officiant available for support in a location provided by Ekstæses — the participant is supported by carefully chosen music, an eyeshade, and compassionate audio and visual monitoring to ensure comfort and safety throughout. For those who are ready to meet with Their Source without mediation.
Feeling called to begin?
Pilgrimages are available to members in good standing who have completed the foundational requirements of our practice. If you feel ready, we invite you to reach out through our intake process. From there, a member of our community will be in touch to discuss your readiness, your intentions, and which level of participation may be right for you.
There is no pressure and no timeline. If the moment is right, you will know.
